Public Officer ( Dominique Lambrinidis)

The role

The role of the public officer in relation to an incorporate association is appointed under section 12 and in relation to an incorporated trading association appointed under section 25 R of the Act.

The public officer is responsible for the filing of rules and trusts and any alterations to the rules & trust of incorporated association.

Documentation filed with the registrain, are submitted with a statutory declaration made by the Public Officer. All legal matters, notices, demands, summons, with or other documents or process are served to the public Officer. An incorporate association may give a notice or make a demand by writing under the hand of the public officer of the association.

Message

The Greeks of Darwin are hard honest workers, mostly involved in the construction industries, they have played a major role in the growth of this city, others are very successful business operators.
From the early settlers, to this now, well educated new generations of good christian faith, this community of Greek Australian citizens are first class citizens and are a credit to this Greek nation.
Proud be Greek Australians.

Activities

Involved in the Greek Orthodox Community for the last decade. Postions held, Vice President, Treasurer, Acting Secretary and Public Officer.
Born in France of Greek parents from kalymnos and Lesos of the Dodecanisos, came to Australia in September 1951 at the age of 17. Lived in Perth involved in various business activities. Came to Darwin in 1964, married in 1966 to Kalliopi, we have 5 children, 4 boys and 1 daughter, all living in Darwin.
While in Darwin, I was involved in the construction and Joinery Industries and some business activities now retired with the age pension

Welfare Worker (Mrs Juliani Bousios)

The Greek Orthodox Community also has a welfare worker. The active welfare worker is Mrs Juliani Bousios. The role of the Greek Welfare Worker is to provide information to clients of the Greek Community or relevant services available to meet their needs.

These needs may include social and emotional support, liason regarding medical legal and financial concerns. Gives clients important information regarding Government policies and procedures. Participates in workshops, meetings or seminars to expand skills and knowledge of resources.
